Answer by the letters, not by looks. A part born on the M7 carries SY in its number; one born on the M9 carries RL — and by default, assume an SY part and an RL part are different parts even when the photos look identical. But the fence has gates: in our own index, RL-coded parts appear in listings against the newer M7, because M9-era hardware spilled down the range, and one FS-coded tyre-pressure sensor fits M5, M7 and M9 alike. So the honest rule is: the letters tell you where the part was born; the VIN tells you whether it fits your car. We check both on every quote — the letters cost nothing, the VIN check is what you are actually paying attention for.

You don't — and that is not you failing to search hard enough. Huawei publishes no part numbers for its DriveONE and sensor hardware, so there is no catalogue to look it up in, anywhere. The working method is the nameplate: photograph the label on the unit itself (it carries a model code — the M9 charger we shipped to Astana was matched by its MPC-series code), add the VIN, and send both. We reply with the nameplate of the exact unit we would ship, your workshop confirms the hardware version can be flashed to your car, and only then does it move. Slower than googling a number — but it is the only method that actually exists for these parts.

We quote it by process, not from a shelf-photo — and for this part that is the honest answer. First, confirm the diagnosis: the classic pattern is a range-extender fault warning, engine light, and the car running on battery only; a workshop should read the codes, because a sensor can mimic a pump. Then send the VIN and, if reachable, a photo of the pump module's label — the M5, M7 and M9 do not all take the same unit.
