The Challenge
An oil field expansion project needed to connect new wellheads to the central processing facility. The crude oil is transported at high pressure, and the desert environment causes rapid temperature fluctuations.
Using welded pipes (ERW/LSAW) was deemed too risky by the safety engineers, as the weld seam is a potential failure point under cyclic pressure stress.
The Solution
Xilink supplied Seamless Carbon Steel Pipes, manufactured by extruding a solid steel billet to ensure uniform wall strength.
- No Weak Points: Without a weld seam, the pipe has equal strength around its entire circumference, offering a higher safety factor for high-pressure fluids.
- 100% Hydro-Tested: Every single pipe underwent hydrostatic pressure testing at the factory to verify integrity before shipment.
- Beveled Ends: Pipes were pre-beveled to API standards, allowing for faster and cleaner welding speeds at the installation site.

The Result
