Construction Machinery Sourcing From China
Any factory will forward you a quote for a machine. The money is won or lost elsewhere: the tonnage that actually fits your jobs, the serial numbers and hours checked before the balance moves, the first year of wear parts riding in the same shipment, and 20 tonnes of steel booked onto the right vessel. That part is our job.

Before You Compare A Single Price
Most buyers who set out to buy an excavator from China start with a price list. But a machine that is one class too small gets pushed past its duty every day — undercarriage, pins and hydraulics wear at double speed, and the warranty argument starts. One class too big and you've parked extra capital in steel you don't use, then paid ocean freight on every spare tonne of it. Chinese equipment typically lands 30–50% below Western brands — but only the right machine at that price is a bargain.
Construction machinery sourcing from China works when it starts from your jobs, not from a catalogue: the material you dig or lift, the trucks you load, the hours per year you'll run. Find your machine class in the table below — including how it ships and what the usual mis-buy looks like.
Match The Machine To The Job
The six classes we quote most, what to pin down before any deposit, and the mismatch we see buyers walk into when nobody asks about the job first.
| Machine class | Pin down before you pay | The work it's built for | How it usually ships | The usual mis-buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mini excavator · 1–3.5 t | Rubber vs steel tracks · cab or canopy · bucket set · quick coupler | Utilities, urban trenching, landscaping, rental fleets | 2–3 units in one 40ft container | Sent into quarry rock — undercarriage gone in a season |
| Midi excavator · 5–8 t | Dozer blade · breaker piping · standard vs reduced tail swing | Building sites, municipal works, site prep between structures | One per 40ft open-top | Too light for production digging — cycle times kill the job |
| Crawler excavator · 20–23 t | Engine brand · hammer piping · GP vs rock bucket · undercarriage spec | Earthmoving, road building, quarry & mine loading — the workhorse class | Flat rack or RoRo, boom lowered | A 20 t machine on 30 t work — pushed past duty daily |
| Wheel loader · 3 t & 5 t bucket | Bucket size vs material density · tyre spec · pilot controls | Aggregates, stockpiles, loading trucks at pits and ports | RoRo, or containerised partly knocked down | A 3 t loader feeding 30 t trucks — five passes per truck |
| Truck crane · 25 t | Boom length · counterweight · road rules in your market | Plant erection, bridge and utility lifts, yard work | RoRo — it drives on | 25 t on the chart ≠ 25 t at your radius — lift plan first |
| Road roller · 12–14 t | Smooth vs padfoot drum · vibration frequency & amplitude | Road base, embankments, large compaction contracts | Flat rack or RoRo | A single-drum base roller put on asphalt finishing work |
Tonnage, bucket, piping and transport are confirmed against your job list before any deposit — not read off a brochure.

No brand is best at everything. A Chinese wheel loader from LiuGong or SDLG, an XCMG crane and a SANY excavator are each strong picks for a different reason — and the right answer also depends on which brand has dealers and parts stock in your country. This is roughly how the map reads:
Cranes · road machinery
The broadest product line of any Chinese maker; a long-standing name in truck cranes and road equipment.
Excavators · concrete
Best known for excavators and concrete machinery; wide export presence and dealer coverage.
Cranes · concrete
A major name in cranes and concrete equipment, with a growing earthmoving line.
Wheel loaders
Built its reputation on wheel loaders; now a full-line maker with a solid excavator range.
Value loaders
Value-focused wheel loaders and graders — a common choice for fleets that buy on cost per hour.
Bulldozers
The specialist in track dozers; a default pick where heavy dozing is the core job.
Compact & mid-size
Compact and mid-size loaders and excavators with wide, inexpensive parts availability.
Trucks
Tippers, mixers and heavy haulage trucks — the usual partner fleet to the machines above.
New Or Used — Both Work, Differently
Full factory warranty, your exact configuration — bucket, piping, tyres, cab spec — and a clean serial history from day one. New Chinese machines are where the 30–50% saving against Western brands is most visible, because you're comparing like with like.
Watch for: "export spec" quotes that quietly delete the air conditioning, the spare rim or the second bucket. We lock the configuration sheet line by line before any deposit.
China's fleet turnover puts serious used machines on the market — but the hour meter is the least trustworthy part on a used excavator. Our used checks are physical, not paperwork: serial number verified against manufacturer records, hours cross-checked against pin, bushing and undercarriage wear, a function test under load, and a full photo and video file before you pay the balance.
European dealers buy used machines through us on exactly this discipline — see the cases below.
The Machine Is Half The Purchase
The machine doesn't stop your project — the missing filter does. A digger parked three weeks for an air filter that costs almost nothing is the classic import story, and it's entirely avoidable: we quote the first year of consumables and wear parts into the same shipment, packed by service interval so your mechanic opens the right box at the right hour reading.

Freight is where machinery imports quietly go wrong — a machine quoted "FOB" that turns out to need a flat rack nobody booked. We match the method to the machine and quote it CIF, lashing and survey included.

See It Run Before The Balance Moves
Every machine — new or used — is physically inspected before the balance payment: serial numbers photographed and matched to the contract, hour meter read, engine started, every function cycled and tested under load. You receive the full photo and video file and sign off on it. Only then does the balance move and the machine roll to port.
It's the same discipline that lets European dealers — the hardest graders of used iron — buy machines from us without flying to China.
How the money and the machine move
Configuration sheet locked line by line; build slot or used unit reserved against your contract.
Serial numbers matched to manufacturer records; hours cross-checked against physical wear on used units.
Start-up, full function cycle and load test on video, with the complete photo file sent for your sign-off.
Balance paid only after sign-off. Lashing photos, export documents and the CIF shipment follow to your port.
Real Orders, Names Withheld
We keep client identities private. The pattern is what matters: hard-to-please buyers, repeat orders.
A Danish equipment dealer — a market where used machines are graded mercilessly — bought a used excavator through us. Serial verified, hours cross-checked against wear, inspected and filmed before the balance, shipped to Europe. A dealer resells his reputation with every machine; he didn't gamble it on us twice by accident.
Fleet owners order DOOSAN, SANY, DIECI and SCHOPF parts through us on repeat schedules — filters, ground-engaging tools, hydraulic components. Parts buyers are the most demanding kind: a wrong part number is discovered the day it arrives. Standing orders only survive on accuracy.
A major mining group in Kazakhstan buys conveyor belts and custom-built equipment through us — and comes back. Mining procurement runs on audits and penalties, not goodwill; a supplier who survives the first tender review and still gets the reorder is doing the paperwork and the quality right.
Straight Answers
Yes. New machines come from the major Chinese makers with the configuration locked line by line before deposit. Used machines — mainly excavators and loaders — go through physical verification: serial number matched to manufacturer records, hours cross-checked against pin, bushing and undercarriage wear, and a function test under load, all documented before you pay the balance.
We are independent of every factory. We quote across XCMG, SANY, SDLG, Zoomlion, LiuGong, Lovol, Shantui and Sinotruk HOWO depending on the machine class, and we weight the choice toward the brand with real dealer and parts presence in your country — that matters more over five years than the purchase price.
The hour meter is the least trustworthy part on a used machine, so we verify physically: serial number checked against manufacturer records, hours compared with actual wear on pins, bushings and undercarriage, engine and hydraulics tested under load, and the whole inspection filmed. You see the evidence and sign off before the balance is paid.
A 20-tonne class machine is over height for a standard container, so it goes on a flat rack or open top with the boom lowered, or by RoRo where your port has a service. Mini excavators ship two to three per 40ft container; wheel loaders and truck cranes usually drive onto RoRo vessels. We match the method to the machine and quote CIF with lashing and survey included.
Both. A first-year kit of filters, belts, bucket teeth, cutting edges, hoses and seal kits is quoted into the same shipment, packed by service interval. And parts is a standing business for us, not an add-on — fleet owners order DOOSAN, SANY, DIECI and SCHOPF parts through us on repeat schedules long after the machine deal is done.
A deposit secures the machine and locks the configuration. The balance moves only after inspection — serial numbers, hour readings, function and load test, all on photo and video, signed off by you. Then the machine ships CIF to your port with the full export document pack. No evidence, no balance.
What sits between the factory and your site
The factory price is the easy number. What derails a schedule is the conformity paperwork your country demands, the tax due on arrival, and the leg from the port or border to your yard. We price those three before you order and show them as separate lines — not after the machine is sitting at the border.

The last leg
Tell us the destination country and we will put the certification route, the tax due and the last leg on the same quote as the machine.
