One invoice, both prices
A farm in Kenya asked us for a 75 hp YTO tractor, ten implements and a generator. The proforma invoice priced an unbranded 75 hp on line 1 and the YTO in its notes, so the buyer could choose with both numbers side by side.

Line 1 names its model and the engine inside. The option note says YTO. On any invoice we issue, an unbranded tractor is never called YTO.

The register in the chart is what Chinese farmers paid local dealers in 2025. There, a 70 hp YTO sold for a median $10.6k and an 80 hp for $13.7k, so this invoice line is higher. When you ask, we quote the YTO model for your horsepower again and put the register price for the same model next to it, so you see the difference before you decide.
Where the gap goes
$16,545 is the median of 87 YTO LX904 sales in the register. $5,303 is what an unbranded factory quoted a farmer in Kazakhstan for 80–90 hp with a cab, on 31 Aug 2026. Rows where both are the same are greyed out: the money is not there.

If your implements need 1,000 rpm, or your border needs a named engine with emissions papers, the YTO money buys something you will use. If you pull a plough, a disc harrow and a 540 rpm sprayer, most of the gap buys the name, the extra gears and the paperwork.

Freight costs the same for both tractors. What changes is what the border charges on the price. Two borders our tractor buyers use, drawn on the same horsepower line as the chart above.
The gap stays the gap. Tractors are exempt from VAT; the only charges that scale with price are the 2.5% import declaration fee and the 2% railway levy. PVoC inspection before shipment costs 0.6% of FOB, minimum $300. At 75 hp the $11,375 invoice gap lands as about $11,900.
VAT is 16% on the price plus freight to the border, so the gap grows by 16%. The recycling fee is flat: 1,189,375 ₸ for 61–130 hp, then 3,676,250 ₸ from 131 hp. One horsepower past 130 costs 2,486,875 ₸ (about $5,700) more. Customs want the EAEU tractor certificate at declaration, and since 2025 the engine must meet Stage 3A.

YTO is assembled in Kazakhstan and sold by local dealers, and those dealers advertise up to 30% subsidy on locally assembled tractors. So before you import one, set the four roads side by side.

If you qualify for the subsidy, road 2 beats road 1: buy your YTO from the local dealer, and we will tell you the same. Road 4 still lands lowest, but by about $2,500 against a subsidised road 3, before the certificate is paid. That is a thinner margin than the invoice suggests, and it is why we price the certificate before you order.

Questions buyers ask
No. XILINK is an independent sourcing agent in Jinan. We buy YTO tractors from YTO's dealers in China and handle the export; we do not represent YTO. We can also buy an unbranded tractor of the same horsepower, and the paperwork always says which one you are getting.
A tractor built by a smaller Chinese factory under its own model number, such as the 754 on the Kenya invoice. Its invoice line names the model and the engine. We never put a YTO badge on it or call it YTO.
Not quite. YTO's export catalogue lists the NLX1404, 140 hp, as EAC-certified under the name X1304, and Kazakh dealers sell it as a 140 hp tractor. Hubei's 2025 register has no 130 hp YTO at all; the nearest are 120 and 140 hp.
Only with an EAEU conformity certificate under TR CU 031, shown at declaration, and an engine that meets Stage 3A (37–75 kW since 1 Jan 2025, 75–130 kW since 1 Oct 2025). YTO's export catalogue marks the NLX1404 (X1304) and LX2204 as EAC-certified. For other models the certificate is issued for the batch or the single tractor, and we price it before you order.
The Kazakh list prices of 13.9 to 22.9 million tenge (80–140 hp, September 2026) carry local assembly, the dealer's margin and 16% VAT. Dealers also advertise up to 30% subsidy on tractors assembled in Kazakhstan. Compare road 1 and road 2 above before you decide.
China refunds 9–13% export VAT to the exporter. That refund is our income. It is not a kickback from any factory, so we have no reason to push one factory over another.
